REACTIONS TO THE WALKS
Creative Responses
The data walks inspired different forms of creative response:
INTERVENTION
CRITICAL MAKING WORKSHOP
‘Critical Making’ workshops with students that invited them to imagine interventions into space and data – at LSE
DRAMATIZING COMMODITY EXCHANGE
Lego workshop
A “Lego Workshop” dramatizing key points of commodity exchange – at Furtherfield.
At the end of the data walks we used an open, creative process to respond to what we had encountered - using Lego to build snapshots of the most significant moments on our data walks, and photographing them as a way of capturing the interactions that produce data and commodities. Ian Cook documented the process – including a Lego version of the surveilled bulletin board.
